NGC 6760
NGC 6760 is a globular cluster located in the constellation Aquila. It was discovered by John Russell Hind in 1845 and is also known as GCl 110. The cluster is approximately 24,100 light-years away from Earth and has an estimated age of around 12.5 billion years, making it a relatively old globular cluster. Its apparent magnitude is approximately 11.6, meaning it can be observed with moderately sized telescopes under dark sky conditions.
NGC 6760 is a relatively metal-rich globular cluster, which is somewhat unusual compared to other globular clusters in the Milky Way galaxy. It displays a flattened, elliptical shape. Studies of the cluster's stellar population have revealed information about its formation and evolution.
