Mount Quincy Adams (Fairweather Range)
Mount Quincy Adams is a peak located in the Fairweather Range of the Saint Elias Mountains in southeastern Alaska, United States. It is situated near the British Columbia border and forms part of the Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve.
Mount Quincy Adams is characterized by its rugged, glaciated terrain. The mountain's slopes are covered in ice fields and glaciers, contributing significantly to the glacial landscape of the Fairweather Range.
The mountain is not as widely known or frequently climbed as some of the other prominent peaks in the region, such as Mount Fairweather itself. Information regarding its exact elevation and climbing history can be somewhat limited, although it is undoubtedly a challenging mountaineering objective due to its remoteness and the technical difficulties presented by the glacial environment.
The surrounding area is primarily wilderness, with limited infrastructure and access. This contributes to the remote and pristine nature of Mount Quincy Adams and the Fairweather Range.
