Moreno (Buenos Aires Underground)
Moreno is a station on Line C of the Buenos Aires Underground (Subte) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is located between Independencia and Avenida de Mayo stations.
The station was opened on November 9, 1934, as part of the inaugural section of Line C, which initially ran between Constitución and Diagonal Norte (now 9 de Julio).
Moreno station is located beneath Avenida Bernardo de Irigoyen, near its intersection with Moreno Street, in the Monserrat neighborhood. Its name commemorates Mariano Moreno, a key figure in the May Revolution of 1810, which initiated the Argentine War of Independence.
The station has side platforms and two tracks. The architecture and design of the station are characteristic of the early stations on Line C, featuring tilework and signage consistent with the period. Access to the platforms is provided by stairways and escalators. The station offers connections to several bus lines operating in the area.
