Michael Crowley (baseball)
Michael Crowley is a former professional baseball player. A right-handed pitcher, Crowley played briefly in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Oakland Athletics in 2005.
Crowley was drafted by the Athletics in the 27th round of the 2000 Major League Baseball draft out of the University of California, Irvine. He spent several years in the Athletics' minor league system before being called up to the major leagues in September 2005.
In his brief MLB career, Crowley appeared in 2 games, pitching a total of 3.1 innings. He recorded no wins or losses and had an earned run average (ERA) of 21.60. He allowed 8 earned runs on 7 hits, with 2 strikeouts and 3 walks.
Following his brief stint in the major leagues, Crowley continued to pitch in the minor leagues for a few more seasons before retiring from professional baseball.
