Merdingen
Merdingen is a municipality in the district of Dillingen in Bavaria, Germany. It is located approximately 15 kilometers southeast of Dillingen an der Donau and 30 kilometers northwest of Augsburg. The municipality consists of the village of Merdingen itself.
The history of Merdingen dates back to the medieval period. The village is largely agrarian, although in recent decades it has seen growth in residential areas.
The local dialect spoken in Merdingen is Bavarian. The municipality is governed by a mayor and a local council.
