Mercedes-Benz CL-Class (C216)

The Mercedes-Benz CL-Class (C216) is a grand tourer coupé manufactured by Mercedes-Benz between 2006 and 2014. It replaced the C215 CL-Class and was based on the W221 S-Class chassis. It was available with a range of V8 and V12 engines, offered in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged configurations. Notable models included the CL 500 (later CL 550), the CL 600, the CL 63 AMG, and the CL 65 AMG. The C216 CL-Class featured advanced technology such as Active Body Control (ABC) suspension, PRE-SAFE anticipatory safety system, and a range of driver-assistance features. Its design emphasized luxury and performance, positioning it as a high-end coupé in the Mercedes-Benz lineup. The CL-Class was discontinued after the 2014 model year and effectively replaced by the S-Class Coupe (C217).
