Marrakesh Express (album)

Marrakesh Express is the debut album by the American folk rock duo David Crosby and Graham Nash, released in 1975. Although credited to Crosby & Nash, the album was largely a collection of solo tracks recorded separately by each musician during a period when Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young were on hiatus.

The album features a mix of original songs written by Crosby and Nash, as well as contributions from other songwriters. Notably, the album includes reworked versions of songs previously associated with their respective bands, The Byrds and The Hollies. The sound is characterized by a blend of folk, rock, and country influences, with strong emphasis on vocal harmonies.

While the album was initially envisioned as a Crosby & Nash project, the separate recording sessions resulted in a somewhat disjointed feel, with each artist's contributions often sounding distinct. Despite this, Marrakesh Express was commercially successful, reaching the Top 40 on the Billboard 200 chart. It is remembered as a significant work in the solo careers of both Crosby and Nash and as a snapshot of their musical endeavors outside of their primary band affiliation.
