Joe McGrath (Australian footballer)
Joe McGrath (born 28 October 1940) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with South Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
McGrath, a rover, played 39 games for South Melbourne between 1960 and 1963. He debuted in round one of the 1960 VFL season against Carlton at Princes Park. He was known for his pace and tackling ability.
After leaving South Melbourne, McGrath continued his football career at the state league level. Details of his post-VFL career are limited, but he remained involved in Australian rules football through coaching roles at various amateur and local clubs.
