M.G. Lord

M.G. Lord (born 1944) is an American journalist, author, and cultural critic. She is known for her work exploring themes of gender, technology, and American culture, often from a feminist perspective.

Lord's books include Forever Barbie: The Unauthorized Biography of a Real Doll, a critical examination of the Barbie doll's cultural impact, and Astra and Flavia: A True WWII Story of Resistance, Friendship, and Flight, a biography of two women pilots who flew for the Air Transport Auxiliary during World War II. Her other works include Household Words: Bloomers, Seduction, and Talking Back and The Accidental Feminist: Why Women and Men Still Aren’t Equal and What We Can Do About It.
