Þrúðvangr
Þrúðvangr (pronounced roughly "Throoth-vahng-er") is, in Norse mythology, one of the realms or fields belonging to the god Thor. It is mentioned in some accounts as his personal domain.
Specifically, Þrúðvangr is described as the location of Thor's hall, Bilskírnir, which is mentioned in the Grímnismál poem of the Poetic Edda. Bilskírnir is said to be the largest of all halls, having five hundred and forty rooms, suggesting its association with great power and importance befitting a prominent god like Thor.
The name "Þrúðvangr" is often translated as "Fields of Strength" or "Plains of Power," which further reinforces the idea that it is a place connected to Thor's immense might and dominion. While details about Þrúðvangr are relatively scarce in surviving Norse texts compared to locations like Asgard or Midgard, its mention provides insight into the imagined cosmology and the domains of the Norse gods.
