Billy Edwards (boxer)

Billy Edwards (born July 28, 1952) is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1976 to 1986. He is best known for his world title challenge against Saoul Mamby for the WBC super lightweight title in 1981, a fight he lost by unanimous decision.

Edwards, a native of the United States, primarily fought in the super lightweight (junior welterweight) division. Throughout his career, he faced a number of notable opponents, building a reputation as a skilled and durable fighter.
