M&Co.

M&Co. was a Scottish fashion retailer specializing in women's, men's, and children's clothing, as well as homeware. Founded in 1834 as a pawnbroker in Paisley, Scotland, by the McGeoch family, it gradually transitioned into a clothing business under the name Mackays. The brand M&Co. was adopted in 2005 to appeal to a broader market. The company operated numerous stores throughout the United Kingdom and internationally.

M&Co. emphasized a family-friendly atmosphere and offered a range of styles at accessible price points. In December 2022, M&Co. entered administration. The brand and intellectual property were subsequently acquired by AK Retail Holdings in 2023, leading to the closure of all physical stores and a shift to an online retail model.
