Luke Voit
Luke Voit (born February 13, 1991) is an American professional baseball first baseman currently a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Yankees, Oakland Athletics, San Diego Padres, and Milwaukee Brewers.
Voit played college baseball at Missouri State University. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 22nd round of the 2013 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut with the Cardinals in 2017.
Voit was traded to the New York Yankees in 2018. He quickly established himself as a key player for the Yankees, leading the major leagues in home runs in 2020. Known for his power hitting, Voit was a fan favorite in New York.
In 2022, Voit was traded to the San Diego Padres. He was later traded to the Washington Nationals, and subsequently designated for assignment. He was then claimed off waivers by the Milwaukee Brewers.
Voit has also played for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, Memphis Redbirds, and Las Vegas Aviators in the minor leagues.
