Loisinga

Loisinga is a constituency in Kenya. It is located within Samburu County.

Loisinga is primarily known as a region inhabited by the Samburu people, a Nilotic ethnic group closely related to the Maasai. The constituency is characterised by arid and semi-arid lands, and pastoralism (livestock herding) is the dominant economic activity.

Due to its remote location and challenging environmental conditions, Loisinga faces various development challenges, including limited access to education, healthcare, water, and infrastructure. The area is also susceptible to drought and inter-communal conflicts, often related to access to resources such as grazing land and water points. Efforts are being made by the Kenyan government and various non-governmental organizations to address these challenges and improve the livelihoods of the people in Loisinga.
