Llanboidy

Llanboidy is a village and community in Carmarthenshire, Wales. It is located in the west of the county, approximately 10 miles north of Whitland and 8 miles east of Narberth.

The name Llanboidy derives from the Welsh "llan," meaning "church," and "Boidy," possibly a personal name, or a corruption of "Bode," a Welsh saint.

The village is situated within a rural, agricultural landscape. Historically, the area was known for its woollen industry and slate quarrying. The population of the community is around 500.
