Lesnica (Slovakia)
Lesnica is a village and municipality in the Stará Ľubovňa District in the Prešov Region of northern Slovakia. It is situated in the Spišská Magura mountain range, near the Polish border.
The village is known primarily for its location at the entrance to the Prielom Dunajca (Dunajec Gorge), a popular tourist destination for rafting and hiking. The Pieniny National Park surrounds Lesnica.
Historically, the area belonged to the Spiš region. The population of Lesnica is primarily Slovak. The village offers basic amenities for tourists, including accommodation and restaurants. The local economy is largely reliant on tourism.
