Larry Hart (athlete)
Larry Hart (born August 27, 1946) is a former American football defensive end. He played professionally in the National Football League (NFL) for the Detroit Lions (1968-1978) and the New Orleans Saints (1979).
Hart was drafted by the Lions in the third round of the 1968 NFL Draft out of Iowa State University. He was a key player on the Lions' defense for over a decade, known for his pass-rushing abilities. Hart earned Pro Bowl selections in 1975 and 1976.
After retiring from the NFL, Hart remained involved in the Detroit community. He has been recognized for his contributions both on and off the field.
