L.W. (album)

L.W. is the second studio album by the Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, released on February 26, 2021. It serves as a direct sequel and companion piece to their previous album, K.G. (Explorations into Microtonal Tuning, Volume 2), released in 2020. Like K.G., L.W. continues the band's exploration of microtonal tunings, incorporating musical scales that divide the octave into more than the standard twelve notes found in Western music. The album features a blend of psychedelic rock, progressive rock, and elements of Middle Eastern and Turkish music. L.W. was released alongside a live performance film, "Live in Melbourne '21," showcasing the band playing tracks from both K.G. and L.W.
