Kyide Nyimagon

Kyide Nyimagon (Tibetan: སྐྱིད་ལྡེ་ཉི་མ་མགོན, Wylie: skyid lde nyi ma mgon) was a Tibetan royal figure who played a significant role in the westward expansion of the Tibetan kingdom in the late 10th century. He was a member of the Tubo dynasty, the ruling dynasty of the Tibetan Empire. Following the disintegration of the central Tibetan kingdom, Nyimagon migrated west, establishing his rule in the western regions of Tibet, particularly in the area of Ngari. He is credited with establishing several important centers of power and contributing to the revival of Buddhism in the region. His sons divided the kingdom, leading to the formation of several smaller kingdoms in western Tibet, including Guge and Maryul (Ladakh). He is an important figure in the history of Tibetan Buddhism and the political landscape of Western Tibet.
