Bissegem
Bissegem is a village in the Belgian province of West Flanders. It is a deelgemeente (sub-municipality) of the city of Kortrijk.
Bissegem is located southeast of the city center of Kortrijk, along the Leie River. Historically, it was a primarily agricultural area, but has become more suburbanized in recent decades due to its proximity to Kortrijk.
The Sint-Audomaruskerk (Saint Audomar Church) is a prominent landmark in Bissegem. The village also has several local businesses and community organizations.
Bissegem has a distinct local identity, despite being integrated into the larger municipality of Kortrijk. Its residents often identify strongly with the village and its history.
