Nobunaga Concerto (film)

Nobunaga Concerto is a 2016 Japanese historical fiction film directed by Hiroaki Matsuyama and based on the manga series of the same name by Ayumi Ishikawa. It serves as the conclusion to the Nobunaga Concerto project, which includes the manga, a 2014 anime television series, and a 2014 live-action television drama.

The film follows the story of Saburo, a modern-day high school student who time travels to the Sengoku period and is forced to take the place of Oda Nobunaga. As Nobunaga, Saburo navigates the complexities of feudal Japan, historical events, and relationships with key figures, ultimately leading up to the Honnō-ji Incident. The film depicts a fictionalized account of this event, providing a resolution to Saburo's journey and his impact on Japanese history.
