Spiritus (journal)
Spiritus is an academic journal devoted to the study of Christian spirituality. It is published by Johns Hopkins University Press and sponsored by the Society for the Study of Christian Spirituality. The journal’s scope encompasses a broad range of topics related to Christian spirituality, including historical studies, theological reflections, philosophical analyses, and interdisciplinary approaches. Spiritus publishes peer-reviewed articles, book reviews, and occasional essays that explore various aspects of Christian spiritual traditions, practices, and experiences across different historical periods, geographical regions, and denominational affiliations. The journal aims to foster critical and constructive dialogue within the field of Christian spirituality and to contribute to a deeper understanding of its significance in contemporary life. The frequency of publication is bi-annual (two issues per year). The current editor and members of the editorial board represent diverse scholarly perspectives and institutional affiliations.
