Nazeer (horse)

Nazeer was a celebrated Arabian stallion, foaled in 1934 at the Royal Agricultural Society (RAS) of Egypt. He was sired by Mansour out of Bint Samiha. Nazeer is considered one of the most influential sires in the history of the Arabian horse breed, particularly for his impact on Egyptian Arabian bloodlines worldwide.

Nazeer possessed exceptional beauty, characterized by a dished face, large dark eyes, and a refined bone structure. He also displayed desirable Arabian traits such as intelligence, athleticism, and a gentle temperament.

His get were highly sought after, excelling in the show ring, endurance riding, and as breeding stock. Nazeer’s offspring significantly contributed to the preservation and promotion of the Egyptian Arabian type. Prominent examples of his progeny include Ghazal, Morafic, and Sakr. These horses, in turn, became significant foundation sires and dams, extending Nazeer's influence through subsequent generations.

Nazeer’s genetic legacy is evident in countless Arabian horses around the globe today. His descendants continue to embody the qualities that made him a legend within the Arabian horse community. He died in 1960 and is buried at the El Zahraa Stud in Egypt.
