Bougara
Bougara is a town and commune in the Médéa Province of Algeria. It is located approximately 75 kilometers south of Algiers. Bougara is known for its agricultural production, particularly olives, grapes, and cereals. It is also a market town for the surrounding rural area.
History:
The area around Bougara has been inhabited since ancient times. During the Roman era, it was part of the province of Mauretania Caesariensis. In later centuries, it came under Arab and then Ottoman rule. Under French colonial rule, Bougara was a significant agricultural center.
Geography:
