Omar Narváez (boxer)
Omar Andrés Narváez (born July 10, 1975) is an Argentine professional boxer. He is a former two-weight world champion, having held the WBO flyweight title from 2002 to 2010, and the WBO junior bantamweight title from 2010 to 2014.
Narváez is known for his defensive boxing style and durability. He held the WBO flyweight title for a record-breaking eight years, making 16 successful title defenses. This established him as one of the longest-reigning flyweight champions in boxing history. He is recognized for his longevity and consistent performance throughout his career.
Following his reign at flyweight, Narváez moved up to junior bantamweight and captured the WBO title in 2010. He defended this title nine times before losing it in 2014.
