Korycin

Korycin is a town located in northeastern Poland, within the Sokółka County in the Podlaskie Voivodeship. It is the seat of the Korycin commune (gmina).

Historically, Korycin is known for its cheese-making tradition. Koryciński, a type of hard, yellow cheese made from cow's milk, originated in this area. The cheese is known for its irregular shape and distinctive flavor, influenced by local herbs and traditional production methods. It is a protected food product under European Union law, specifically as a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI).
