Kelkheim
Kelkheim is a town in the Main-Taunus district of Hesse, Germany. It is situated approximately 15 kilometers northwest of Frankfurt am Main. Kelkheim is composed of several districts, including Kelkheim (Taunus), Münster, Hornau, Fischbach, and Ruppertshain.
Historically, the area has been inhabited since Roman times. The modern town of Kelkheim was formed in 1977 through the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Kelkheim, Münster, and Hornau. Fischbach and Ruppertshain were already part of Kelkheim before this merger.
Kelkheim is known for its location at the edge of the Taunus mountains, offering opportunities for hiking and outdoor activities. The economy of Kelkheim is diversified, with a mix of residential areas, commercial businesses, and small to medium-sized enterprises. The town is also home to some industrial activity.
