Daniel Doran (figure skater)

Daniel Doran (born October 22, 1989) is an American former competitive figure skater. He is the 2010 U.S. Junior national champion and the 2010 World Junior bronze medalist.

Career

Doran began skating at the age of nine. Early in his career, he competed on the novice and junior levels domestically. His breakthrough season came in 2009-2010. He won the Junior title at the 2010 U.S. Championships, earning him a spot at the 2010 World Junior Championships. At Junior Worlds, he won the bronze medal, finishing behind Yuzuru Hanyu and Song Nan.

Following his successful junior season, Doran transitioned to the senior level. He competed on the Grand Prix series, but did not achieve significant results. He continued to compete nationally for several years, but did not replicate his earlier success.

Doran has since retired from competitive figure skating.
