Kathleen (singer)

Kathleen Edwards (born July 11, 1978) is a Canadian singer-songwriter and musician. Her music blends elements of folk, country, and rock, often characterized by introspective lyrics and a distinctive vocal delivery.

Edwards gained prominence in the early 2000s with the release of her debut album, Failer (2003), which garnered critical acclaim and established her as a significant voice in the alternative country scene. Subsequent albums, including Back to Me (2005), Asking for Flowers (2008), and Voyageur (2012), further solidified her reputation, earning her nominations for the Polaris Music Prize and Juno Awards.

After a hiatus from music, during which she operated a coffee shop, Edwards returned with her fifth studio album, Total Freedom, released in 2020. Her songs often explore themes of love, loss, resilience, and personal growth. She has toured extensively and collaborated with numerous artists throughout her career.
