Kailadevi
Kailadevi is a Hindu goddess, revered as a form of Durga. She is the presiding deity of the Kailadevi Temple, located in the Karauli district of Rajasthan, India. The temple is situated on the banks of the Kalisil River, in the Aravali hills.
The Kailadevi Temple is a major pilgrimage site, attracting devotees from across India, especially during the Kailadevi Fair, which is held annually around the Chaitra Navratri (March-April). The fair features various rituals, cultural performances, and devotional activities.
The idol of Kailadevi is believed to be self-manifested (Swayambhu). She is often depicted with her sister Chamunda. The temple complex also includes shrines dedicated to other deities, including Bhairav and Hanuman.
The area surrounding the Kailadevi Temple is part of the Kailadevi Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to diverse flora and fauna.
