Jorkyball

Jorkyball is a fast-paced, indoor team sport played within a glass-walled court. It is a variation of squash and football (soccer), combining elements of both sports. Two teams of two players compete to score by kicking the ball (typically a slightly deflated size 4 football) into the opposing team's goal. The glass walls are an integral part of the game, as players are permitted and encouraged to use them to bounce the ball off for passing and shooting.

The court dimensions are smaller than a squash court, typically measuring 10 meters long, 5 meters wide, and 2.5 meters high. The goals are located on the back wall, one for each team.

The rules of Jorkyball dictate that players can use any part of their body, except their hands and arms, to control the ball. However, a player can use their hands and arms to protect themselves. Fouls are penalized, and a referee officiates the match.

Jorkyball matches are usually played in sets, with the winner being the first team to reach a predetermined number of points or win a certain number of sets. The sport emphasizes agility, teamwork, and strategic use of the walls.

While not as globally widespread as some other sports, Jorkyball has a dedicated following, particularly in Europe, and tournaments are held at national and international levels. The sport is often promoted as a fun and accessible activity that combines the physicality of football with the strategic elements of squash.
