Thomas Master (died 1770)
Thomas Master (died 1770) was a British politician who served as a Member of Parliament for Cirencester from 1754 to 1768. He was the son of Thomas Master (1694-1749) of Abbey House, Cirencester, who also served as MP for the same constituency.
Master belonged to a prominent Gloucestershire family and likely inherited significant landholdings that contributed to his political influence. His parliamentary career was not marked by significant involvement in major debates or committees; he appears to have largely followed the Whig political line.
His tenure as MP concluded in 1768. He died in 1770, and the estate passed to his son, Thomas Master (1731-1814), who would also become a Member of Parliament.
