John Wall
John Wall (born September 6, 1990) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He primarily plays the point guard position.
Wall played college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats, where he was a consensus first-team All-American in 2010. He was selected first overall by the Washington Wizards in the 2010 NBA draft.
Throughout his NBA career, Wall has been recognized as an All-Star five times (2014-2018). He is known for his exceptional speed, athleticism, and playmaking abilities. He holds the Washington Wizards franchise record for career assists and steals.
Significant injuries have hampered his career in recent years, impacting his availability and performance. After playing for the Washington Wizards for several seasons, he was traded to the Houston Rockets in 2020. He remained with the Rockets until being waived in 2023.
