John Tait (rugby union)

John Tait is a former Scottish international rugby union player. Primarily a flanker, Tait also played at number eight. He was a prominent figure in Scottish rugby during the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Tait played club rugby for Edinburgh Rugby, Newcastle Falcons, and Border Reivers. He earned 24 caps for Scotland, making his debut against South Africa in 1995. He was known for his aggressive tackling, strong running, and work rate around the field. Tait played in the 1999 Rugby World Cup for Scotland.

After retiring from professional rugby, Tait has remained involved in the sport, taking on coaching roles.
