John Somerville (Australian footballer)

John Somerville (born 18 September 1935, died 10 January 2024) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Carlton in the Victorian Football League (VFL).

Somerville, a ruckman and key position player, played 49 senior games for Carlton between 1954 and 1958. He was recruited from Mildura Imperials. He also represented Victoria in interstate football. After leaving Carlton, he continued his football career in country Victoria.
