Jimmy Dawson (basketball, born 1945)

Jimmy Dawson (born 1945) is an American former professional basketball player.

Dawson played college basketball at the University of Illinois, where he was a standout guard. Following his collegiate career, he was drafted by the Cincinnati Royals in the 1967 NBA Draft.

Dawson played professionally in the American Basketball Association (ABA) during the late 1960s and early 1970s. He played for the Denver Rockets and the Carolina Cougars.
