Samuel Bindon (Australian politician)

Samuel Bindon (born circa 1817, died 10 May 1885) was an Australian politician and lawyer. He served as a member of the Victorian Legislative Council and the Victorian Legislative Assembly.

Born in Ireland, Bindon emigrated to Victoria, Australia, and was admitted to the Victorian Bar. He was elected to the Victorian Legislative Council for the Central Province in 1853, serving until 1855. He later represented Kyneton Boroughs in the Victorian Legislative Assembly from 1864 to 1866 and again from 1868 to 1874.

Bindon was known for his advocacy of legal reform and for his participation in debates surrounding land legislation during his time in parliament. His legal expertise was often sought after in the assembly's deliberations. Further biographical details are scarce, but his contributions to Victorian politics are documented in parliamentary records and historical archives. He died in Melbourne.
