Kumudham
Kumudham is a Tamil word that primarily refers to the white water lily ( Nymphaea alba or similar species). More broadly, it can also denote a lotus flower in general, although "thamarai" is the more common word for lotus. Kumudham evokes concepts of purity, beauty, and auspiciousness, often associated with deities and cultural symbolism in Tamil Nadu and other regions of South India. The word may also appear in literature, poetry, and art, where its usage reflects these qualities.
