Jeff Pope

Jeff Pope is a British screenwriter and television producer. He is best known for his work on fact-based dramas, often focusing on significant historical events or individual stories of hardship and triumph.

Pope frequently collaborates with director Paul Andrew Williams. His notable credits include the television dramas See No Evil: The Moors Murders, Appropriate Adult (which won him a BAFTA Award for Best Writer), Lucan, Cilla, Little Boy Blue, and The Moorside. He also wrote and co-produced the critically acclaimed film Philomena, earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay. More recently, he co-created and wrote the ITV drama series The Walk-In.
