Jeff Gray (baseball, born 1981)

Jeff Gray (born December 19, 1981) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Oakland Athletics, Chicago Cubs, Texas Rangers, Kansas City Royals, San Diego Padres, and Detroit Tigers.

Gray attended Beal City High School in Beal City, Michigan, and then Saginaw Valley State University, where he played college baseball.

He was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 20th round of the 2004 MLB draft. Gray made his major league debut with the Athletics on August 1, 2008.

Over his MLB career, Gray primarily served as a relief pitcher. He has been known for his fastball and slider combination. After his playing career, he has remained involved in baseball through coaching and instruction.
