Jean Bizet

Jean Bizet (born circa 1925, died January 25, 2022) was a French politician and a member of the Senate of France, representing the Manche department. He was a member of the Union for a Popular Movement (UMP), later known as The Republicans (LR).

Bizet served in the Senate from 1986 until his death in 2022. He was particularly known for his work on defense and security matters. He served as the President of the Senate's Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Armed Forces for many years. His parliamentary work often focused on strengthening French defense capabilities, promoting French foreign policy, and addressing international security challenges. He also held local political office, serving as a municipal councilor.
