InfoTrac

InfoTrac was a family of online databases providing access to a wide range of periodical and newspaper articles. Developed by Information Access Company (IAC), which was later acquired by Gale, part of Cengage Learning, InfoTrac aimed to offer comprehensive coverage of scholarly journals, general interest publications, and news sources. The databases were searchable by keyword, subject, and other criteria, making them a popular research tool for students, researchers, and librarians. Different versions of InfoTrac were tailored for specific audiences, such as academic institutions, public libraries, and schools, offering varied content and search capabilities. While no longer actively maintained as a standalone product, its content and functionality have largely been integrated into other Gale databases and research platforms.
