Jane Adams (actress, born 1965)
Jane Adams (born Jane Colburn Adams, February 1, 1965) is an American actress. She is known for her work in independent films and television.
Adams began her career in the theater, appearing in productions both on and off Broadway. Her notable stage credits include Tony Award-winning performance in "An Inspector Calls" (1994).
She transitioned to film and television, gaining recognition for her roles in movies such as "Happiness" (1998), directed by Todd Solondz, where she portrayed Joy Jordan, a lonely and depressed woman seeking connection. Her performance garnered significant critical acclaim and an Independent Spirit Award nomination.
