James Mitchell (New South Wales politician)

James Mitchell (born 1866, died 1951) was an Australian politician. He served as a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly, representing the electoral district of Sydney-Cook from 1920 to 1922. He was a member of the Labor Party. Information regarding his life before and after his parliamentary service is limited, but contemporary sources identify him as a shop assistant prior to entering politics. His time in parliament coincided with a period of political instability and frequent elections in New South Wales.
