Ishii Dam

The Ishii Dam is a concrete gravity dam located on the Nakagawa River in Anan, Tokushima Prefecture, Japan. It serves primarily for flood control and irrigation. Construction of the dam was completed in 1973. The dam creates a reservoir known as Lake Shimizudani, which provides a water source for the surrounding agricultural areas. The Ishii Dam contributes to the stabilization of water supply and mitigation of flood risks in the Nakagawa River basin.
