Ion Prodan (footballer)

Ion Prodan (born March 6, 1942, died February 28, 2024) was a Romanian international footballer and manager. Prodan primarily played as a defender.

Career:

Prodan spent the majority of his playing career in Romania, most notably with UTA Arad, where he was a key part of the team that won two Romanian league titles in 1969 and 1970. He also played for other Romanian clubs, including Steaua București and Politehnica Timișoara.

Prodan earned several caps for the Romanian national team.

Following his playing career, Prodan transitioned into management, coaching various clubs in Romania.
