Emil Mayer (American football)

Emil Mayer was an American football player and coach. He played college football at Washington & Jefferson College, where he was a prominent end. He was selected as an All-American in 1915.

After his playing career, Mayer transitioned to coaching. He served as the head football coach at Waynesburg College (now Waynesburg University) from 1920 to 1921. His coaching record at Waynesburg was 4–10–1. Details about his life beyond his football career are limited.
