Innvik

Innvik is a former municipality in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. It was located on the northern side of the Nordfjorden, primarily centered around the village of Innvik.

History: The municipality existed from 1924 until 1965 when it was merged with Stryn municipality. Prior to 1924, the area was part of the larger municipality of Stryn.

Geography: Innvik was known for its mountainous terrain and agricultural areas along the fjord. Its location along the Nordfjorden provided access to the sea and inland areas.

Economy: Historically, the economy of Innvik was based on agriculture, fishing, and some forestry.

Notable Features: The Innvik Church is a historically significant landmark in the area.
