HMS Tintagel Castle (K399)

HMS Tintagel Castle was a Castle-class corvette of the Royal Navy. She was laid down on 15 March 1943 by Blyth Shipbuilding Company, Blyth, Northumberland and launched on 14 February 1944. She was commissioned on 17 July 1944.

Tintagel Castle served during World War II, primarily engaged in convoy escort duties in the Atlantic. Castle-class corvettes were designed for anti-submarine warfare and were an improvement over the earlier Flower-class corvettes. They featured a longer hull, greater speed, and improved armament.

Following the end of the war, Tintagel Castle was placed in reserve. She was sold for scrapping on 16 May 1958 and broken up at Bo'ness.
