IBM Works

IBM Works was an integrated office suite offered by IBM, primarily during the 1990s. It was designed as a direct competitor to other popular office suites of the time, such as Microsoft Works and ClarisWorks.

The suite typically included core applications such as a word processor, spreadsheet, database, and sometimes a drawing or painting program. IBM Works aimed to provide a comprehensive set of tools for home and small business users to manage various productivity tasks.

Key features generally included user-friendly interfaces, pre-designed templates for common tasks like letter writing and budgeting, and integration between the different applications within the suite. This integration allowed for seamless data transfer and manipulation between, for instance, a spreadsheet and a document.

IBM Works was available for multiple operating systems, including Windows and OS/2. While popular for a time, it was eventually discontinued and is no longer actively supported or developed.
